All I'm finding on eBay lately are carbs for a Turbo Seca. Will these carbs work on my bike or are they completely different?

check out the supporting vendor link XJ4Ever at the top right of the page. In the parts catalog, member Chacal explains what parts fit which bikes. You should be able to determine it from there.

That being said, I think the turbo's used Mikuini carbs and the NA models used Hitachi so I don't think they'd work on your bike

They are completely different. If you got them to fit, you'd have to re-jet to make your bike run right.

What's wrong with your carbs ??

    I don't have any.
It's a project bike. Came with everything but the carbs and gas tank.

He's right, the turbo's carbs are unique BS type carbs. Unique meaning that they are designed and constructed to be pressurized as they are on the turbo. The rebuild kits also tend to be much more expensive as they have lots of extra orings and seals.

Check out the for sale section above for a inexpensive set or keep watching ebay for a couple of weeks. You should be able to pick up a set possibly needing rebuild for 50-75 tops and in useable shape for 80-100.

If I find any, I'll let you know....what model bike?

Put in a link so the guy can bid instead of going searching again, unless you are bidding that is.

Eh, this is just for future reference. I'm not in the market right this moment but will be soon enough. Thanks for the clarification though.

'82 XJ 650 still doesn't tell us if it's Maxim or Seca, and the jetting is different there. I'd assume Maxim.
And I bought a rebuildable rack from Ebay for $13.00 last year. Works great.

What else is missing? Intake boots? Airbox Boots? Airbox? Air Box lid? Petcock? Gas Cap? Fuel Sensor? It can be hard to determine exactly what's missing if you haven't seen that bike, or another one like it whole. Call me pessimistic, but there might be more missing than you think.

Does the engine have compression? You might have just traded for someone else's problem, and it might not be worth the effort, but could always work as a parts bike. Maybe you're a glutton for punishment, but the cost of find this-and-that on ebay will really adds up when you're missing alot of little things or entire assemblies.

I'm too much of a glutton.
All of the above is why I'm still considering parting it out and using the funds to find one that's already assembled. I've been going through the parts box and checking off a list of all the parts and so far, everything's there.
