Hi everyone! I kinda already introduced myself in the Cincinnati post, but I figure I should introduce myself here too. I bought an 82 xj750 Maxim on the 27th of February, and I just finished repainting fenders, side covers, tank and turn signals black with an eggshell (half flat) clear. I'm a newbie to older bikes, but I had a crotchrocket before and decided it was time to get a 'real' bike. I'm sure I'll be posting a lot here, because I have a lot of questions. Thanks for your time, please check out my links in the sig for the type of stuff I usually work on (don't hold the donks against me.. they pay well lol)

I didn't make it, it came with the bike.. but, having the part, I can reproduce it.

Here's all the pictures I have of it ( some are original, some are primed/prepped for paint, but it shows the basic shape and design )

Notes on pictures: I do not condone the 28" rim in the back. Business is business ;]

Some of the pictures are blurry.. I put 32 hours this weekend into that bike, inhaled a lot of carb cleaner and paint fumes.. so my hand was a little shaky (or I can blame it on the Evo I used lol )

I'm a newbie to the forums thing.. I have about.. 50 pictures of the whole process of painting it if you'd be interested in seeing it.

what can I say.. its a p.i.t.a to paint huge rims like that.. but for some reason so many people want to ruin cars by jacking up suspensions, cutting fenders and quarter panels, and making their car look like a matchbox car! def. pays good though

Welcome Johnny! I read that you bought an 82 750 Max in your first post but saw a 650 in the pics so I was a little confused about that. Looks like you got it right in your signature line. You have/have had quite a stable, I like the variety. And don't worry too much about the background, I've seen everything and I do mean everything. You are right about business is business. Intelligence does not need to enter the picture to sell something to an idiot.
Oh yes, a comment on your bike. It looks GREAT!

Slight miscommunication between my brain and fingers on the 750/650 thing 8) Thank you, sir, for the compliment on the stable and the bike.
