    Howdy all.
Tennessee is a beautiful place, I know why my aunt and uncle settled there. For a lark, my cousin drove me out to Highway 129, starting on the Tennessee side. I lost count of all the curves but it is everything legend tells. Ducs, Kawi's, Suzuki's, and I saw/heard a lone XJ pass me by. While I cannot say I rode The Dragon, I certainly got to experience it. The Tree of Shame is impressive and has more junk on it than the photo on Wikipedia. I'm set on renting a bike next time I'm out, I gotta tell you, the ridgeline roads and vistas are AWSOME!

Just make sure you don't add any of your parts to the tree!

Congrats on being able to make the ride, it's on a lot of riders list of roads to ride, including mine.

I've heard from a friend that lives near Robbinsville that with so much LE activity on the dragon, the surrounding roads are just as nice and you won't have to worry about who is around the next corner. I've gotten within 100 miles or so and that whole area is just beautiful.

It's cool though that you were able to ride that fabled road, especially since you live on the West coast!

I went down 6 months after I started riding with some buddies. I lived to tell the tale, but probably wasn't the best idea with so little seat time lol. I plan on going again this year. There are a ton of side roads you can hit. The Snake, parkway, etc. I suggest anyone who rides make at least one trip down. It is a great time.
