Hi all I'm new here and from the UK, I bought an XJ 750 in 1995, it was an import and as soon as I got it had the cam chain replaced and a service done, the following week I rode her to the south of France with a friend on the back loaded with two rucksacks strapped to a tiny rack lol It got me all the way there with a week riding around and all the way back with no problems at all. Thats what I call a work horse! Anyway, the years went past and in 2006 I pushed her into the garage where she slowly rotted away.

About three weeks ago I went to clean out my garage and you can see the outcome here:-

Any questions please feel free to ask :D
Oh one other thing, on the log book it just says xj750, what model is this? And is it a 1981 model or has the person who imported it got the date wrong, the engine number is just 5G8 ifthat helps.

First, that's a Seca, if the tank styling is any indication.

Given what you've posted, it could indeed be an 81 model, though my reference material says 750A vs E model. Those more knowledgeable than I could come up with a better answer if you were to post the VIN off the neck tube.

Hi all I been doing some research and found a post on here in the XJ MAXIM, SECA, AND TURBO PARTS CATALOG, its about all the info on XJ models and where they come from, it turns out my bike was imported from Japan to the UK in 1995 when I purchased it, its an XJ 750 A.

XJ 750 Engine fitted into a XJ650RJ Seca frame

Engine and frame vin: 5G8 for the engine and 5G8 011466 for the frame.

Glad I found that out after 16 years LOL no wonder getting parts was a pain in the harris!
