    Gents,
Before you go spending a grand on those carbs, know this, the "CR" carbs are suited mostly for race applications. They are fantastic carbs and they do have carbs for the 900's also, but you lose some low end capability and with velocity stacks are racing setups. Go with some RS smoothbore carbs and they can be suited and spaced for our applications and (those air filters we don't speak about). LOL

The RS smoothbores are $800 for the kits our bikes.

Guys, you might also want to know something about that company.....their REP SUCKS!! Evidently, they have a history of taking money and sending excuses.

    http://www.ripoffreport.com/Search/Moto ... s_com.aspx

10 ripoff reports from just one reporting site? The last one dated in Feb of this year!!

No, I have not dealt with them but as I read this thread the name reminded me of something I read on another forum to a friend of mine...whenI checked it, YUP, same company that ripped him off so proceed at your own risk!!

I don't know anything about the company referenced in the beginning of this thread. I only deal with www.sudco.com on Mikuni and Keihin carb issues. They are fantastic to deal with.

For that kind of coin, I would just cobble up a FI setup.

Sudco is above reproach, 110% great reputation and been around for years. But you won't get discount prices from them, either.

I was thinking about this for one of my 550s, but the sheer cost of what is primarily an experiment put me off. I love how the bikes run now; I wouldn't want to drop a $Grand and end up losing tractability in the bargain.

Then again, the Suzuki GS550 from '80 or '81 still had slide-valve (non-CV) carbs...

But that's not a solution for the 650/750 crowd.

Sudco looks like they have it going on but unfortunately I found their website not user friendly.

Still, good to know they are reliable, have a great range and provide good service.

I agree about the "not being user friendly" on the website, but then again, after you mess with these for a while, you know exactly what you're looking for. www.nichecycle.com also seems fairly knowledgeable about these bikes and carbs as well as www.dynoman.com.

Fitz, we need you to become a dealer for Sudco to get us some great deals, I tried to get my local shop to become one. Retail prices aren't much fun.

FWIW, I have heard that the CR carbs are for a race setup and the Smoothbores are more friendly with our bikes.

Sorry, sorry, my fault. www.dynoman.net The actual name of the company is dynoman performance. First rate company that I have done business with and will do again. Good luck
