welcome, nice work!! just my opinion but I say blacken the headers or chrome the muffler two tone seems to break up the flow of the bike. Again just my opinion.

Looks good! Actually, it's almost identical to mine except for the colors.

Well, hello electro gypsy, you asked for it so here it is. I like the way your bike is heading, not sure about that red fender? Got me a bit puzzled about the flow of the gal. Because you have the Silver frt. struts, something I saw on another bike, the BOOTS on the strut travel part of the forks in BLACK! Normally I don't like those things but on a Bobber I saw with the front lower Forks being the Silver instead of black and the Fork travel rods being covered in the Black Protective Boots or what ever their called it really looked pretty cool, and then like the one other member talked about you might wrap you header pipes in White? I donl't believe I said that but that is what just came into my mind-boggling eh? In truth though that might look not only cool but original and what is all this about but finding Identity and if not then creating it for sure. Mayby a better word for that would be finding the bikes PERSONALITY! Either way, best of luck on your endeavor, you'll find the gal's heart before your finished. Now comes the big question: does she run as good as she is beginning to loook??????????? grunt007, 81'XJ750R, Seca in the birth, Mi.

    polock, it's named after a song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wX8AbBWc08

are you saying you don't like the red fender grunt? i have a set of fork gaitors sitting here on my desk, but haven't decided whether to mount them or not. she runs great at the moment, carbs were all rebuilt and tuned nicely this winter, and it got new fernco carb-airbox boots for a nice seal.

I think painting the lower fork legs black as well and adding the fork gators would match the rest of the bikes "theme" with all the added black pieces you have going on. Keep the red. It's different, unique and sets you apart from all the others.
Those mufflers just jump right out at ya being painted black on chrome headers. I'd do the entire exhaust system black to complete the black look and keep it matching the rest of the bike too. Just my take on the matter.

In referance to Electro gypsy I sort of like her looking like she is now. I thought that there was something with the back fender but what it is is that I am not used to seeing the rear fender with out a full seat on it. With just the solo seat the rear fender looks so big? But on the flip side with the great paint job on the rear fender being big just shows off the paint job more. I hate to see a person go to far with the Black stuff because with to much of it you can begin to destroy what you started out to accomplish with the bike.
I am setting here looking at a Seca where the exhaust is all Chrome, the tank, rear fender, front fender and engine from the base of the cylinders down is all Black with the exceptiion of the side covers polished Silver. This bike looks fabulous with it's round headlight with black housing and chrome bezel and dual tach and speedo with chrome housings. Now I picture your bike as being the same with that bright tank and fender! Whow! would your tank and fender color stand out then. Just a thought! XJ750R Seca, in birthing stage! 81' Mi. grunt007
