    Browsing through the CL ads I find a guy wanting to barter his 82 Maxim 750 motor. Upon further emails the final agreement is in return for my Ipod radio and my old satellite radio I am getting the motor, a rear wheel and tire, new seat, ignitor and whatever other electronics I can find for it in his garage.

    Yes yes we are haha. Now I just gotta find a new petcock. Damn last PO decided the best way to fix a leaking petcock was to rubber glue around the hose instead of fixing the cause.

    So in my excitement of finding this motor for so little on CL I come to find out after I come home it is not the motor I thought it was. Can anybody help me ID this thing the number on the motor is 4u8-024113. Any help would be great

    Hey Xplicit,

    I have an that engine that IS an XJ750 engine. It's sitting on the floor of my garage. I took it out of a bike last summer. I am in the center of NY state, I think you're a fair distance away, but if you're interested, I guess we could talk..........

    I am interested but have no idea on how it could work out. I am pretty tight up on cash flow at the moment especially with my military pay getting cut in half and the possibility of my 3 week training possibly getting cancelled because of it.
