    i have 2 bikes i ride a 1981 xj650 maxim and a 1982 750 seca

here are the before and after pics for the seca when i bought it, it was pretty rough with pods and was jetted with the wrong size and wrong brand of jets. i put an airbox back in it painted everything and bought a parts bike with new painted body peices also put a set of saddle bags from a venture on it (thanks to micarl)

the seond bike is my maxim which i got after somebody laid it down a let it sit for 14 years under a tarp i replaced the front end and gas tank with parts from 550 maxim parts bike
it now has straight pipes and 2 pvc 1 into 2 intake manifolds
i also dropped the headlight and speedo assembly about 3.5 inches
still need to make a seat and figure out what im doing about turn signals

the seca is really comfortable and great for riding with the wife

the maxim is a lot of fun the straight pipes sound great and the riding position feels a lot like my brothers r6 its probably my favorite

does anybody know what the maxim would classify as would it be a chopper or a street fighter

it's most definitely a bobber streetfighter, choppers include chopping the frame to rake the front end

With the (sexy) fairing, I like the redone 3 color scheme pulled from the tank.

Though the 2 tone bags looked great before the fairing!

I'd steal... errr buy that seca in a heart beat :)

its now a hard tail and i have a seat shock in route

    i would like some suggestions

i need to make a seat what do you guys think would look good on it any pictures you can link me to would be great

and i need to finish exhaust i like the straight pipes it had but they looked kinda goofy after the new alterations has anybody terminated them under the bike is there a chance the heat would be bad for rear tire?

    bbq paint for exhaust
    engine enamal for motor
engin enamal wont hold up to exhaust pipe heat and bbq paint strips right off if you get any gas on it so you gotta use both for this setup

i just used paint stripper and buffed what i could get to then washed it and hit it with paint

engine enamel on carbs as well

let enamel fully cure 2 days before you get any gas or chemicals anywhere near it
