I was reading about a mod that someone did to their carbureted FZ-1. They made a manifold out of fuel hoses that connected the 4 vacuum ports together. They claimed it helped equalize the vacuum variances between the carbs as well as increasing smoothness and performance. Has anyone tried this on an xj?

So then, it seems to me, the YICS tools sole function is isolate each carbs' vacuum so that the stick set can "read" them individually?

I tried that once and couldn't tell any difference.
