    Hello,

I wanted to upgrade my front brake with a stainless steel line and new aftermarket master cylinder and lever. I have already rebuilt by caliper with new seals and piston and a bore refinish. The current front brake works ok but has that spongey-ness we all know and hate. I was looking on ebay and found this:

What i need to find out is what MC bore size will work with the caliper on our 82' xj650's? Does anyone have any experience doing this and if so where did you get your parts?

I know chacal has some lines but i really need to change out my MC because i have TC Bros drag bars on and the MC angle is all wrong.

    thanks all

I am going to do something similar with my build, except I am wouldn't pay $200 for a Nissan MC :)

Look for a radial GSXR MC, they all have a 3/4 in Bore (~19mm) which is going to be super tight (because its meant to push two calipers) or you can check out an R6 MC which I believe has a 16mm bore (smaller caliper piston than the GSXR) and will give you a more progressive feel. Then if you want to pic up some SS brake lines I'll split them with you since we both only need one :)

Either way these used OEM parts will go for a fraction of the price and should work substantially better than our OEM MC
