Time to part it out and be done with it.... To many bikes, not enough time/money.
    Long story short......
My frame cracked, I bought another one, tore down the bike, purchased some new parts from Chacal, and promptly let life get in the way. It ran fine and was a fun bike, but I need to be realistic..... The money I get will be going towards a XR100 build for my girlfriend...

Let me know what you want, I will take pics of any/all parts you request...

    Updates will follow.
    Located in Moab Utah 84532
    cheers

Interested in Atari cluster (working speedo, cable and hub at minimum).

Does the T shaped cover over the ignition still have the rear tabs intact to help keep it in place?

What condition are the front tubes in? (outer lower alum tubes that the chrome tubes slide into at a minimum).

What condition are the controls in? (Left and right)

Does the Master cylinder cover say Yamaha on it? Overall MC condition? Any road rash?

    I'll ask for everyone...
What new parts did you get / install while working on it?

    link to some photos....
Bill, Saber, and Bob, will follow up with more info tonight after work...

Tank is good, no dents no rust, needs paint
Have to double check my mufflers
Atari good, T cover was taken off and stored (need to find where i put it)
Front end is clean, forks blown, but new red seals in package from chacal, one of the lowers has tool marks from a ham fisted removal of calipers... need to double check and post photo Master cylinder has new window, been cleaned not put together but comes with rebuild kit in package

believe the bike tipped over and went down ..... headers a bit chewed up, several fins on the jugs are broke... other than that its in good shape.

The frame split because there was water in it that froze....Some where I have an old thread with photos..... I didn't crash the bike so very little damage, but the usual for a vehicle of its age.

Looked at some of your newer pictures.

Depending on your asking price, I see alot of stuff I need/want anyways. Especially the new parts from Chacal. I.E. Speedbleeder, brake pads, fork seals, VALVE COVER GASKET (mine leaks - did you buy the rubber screw bumpers?), MC + parts, etc..

I'm gonna PM you. I don't NEED everything but price depending I may want alot :)

P.S. If no one else NEEDS the fuse panel, I might want it for my 2nd bike in case I fix it up.

Desertrat, How much are you asking for the carbs and what condition do you consider them to be in? The XJ750R Seca I purchased a couple of months ago 1981, seems to have had someone that thought it was cool to use a BALLPEEN hammer on the float bowls. One of mine I find now has a crack all the way through and this is why I ask what you are asking for them and where you are at as far as how much would be involved in shipping costs? grunt007, Mi 81'Yamaha XJ750R Seca, (Larry)

What do the exhaust headers looks like? I might like to get any small parts as a lot. Screws, washers, electronic bits.

    brake discs
    2 sets of triples
    handle bars
lock set (ignition, gas cap, seat, and security chain)
engine minus starter, soon to be minus intake boots (willing to break open, 12000 on clock)

Desertrat - Got my box of parts today. Very well packaged! MC looked nearly new. Headlight bucket looks great.

What condition are the front rotors in? Can you measure thickness? *DIBS based on price/condition*

I forget if I asked, do you have the front caliper assemblies? Pictures?

Are the forks still attached to tubes? That would definately be cheaper than shipping the whole assembly... But full assembly would let me rebuild & upgrade OFF the bike.

Price and if my new temp-to-perm job works out next week (and beyond) will determine how bad I want the misc parts.

Hey desertrat, do u have a exhaust collector left? I'm missing the chrome piece that's welded onto it on the right side , so u just see the galvanized part of the Collector when looking at it . I would like to weld one back on so my exhaust looks like one long chrome piece from the header to the muffler . If u have one just hit me back. Thanks for ur time !

Well folks, I've had an interesting summer to say the least. I'm back and want to make one more final push to unload all of my XJ parts. Its kind of hard looking at the remains... I also need the space and money for more projects. Look for an upcoming list of parts and PMs to several of you that have posted recently.

    Cheers
