Ok I got the oil changed, all the fairings and gas tank are off the turbo, I just put a new battery in her to crank it over for a compression check, but no cranky cranky...Any common trouble spots to check before I break out a meter and start chasing wires?...Dash lights come on, but fuel pump didnt make any noise, and I dont even get a click from the solonoid when hitting the button...

I guess the first things are the obvious. Is it in neutral, side stand down? clutch pulled in? did you disconnect any safety switches?

Had same problem, turned out to be clutch switch

Check the gold coloured relay on the backbone under the coils, that cuts out the pump, make sure thats connected for a start,

Thanks guys, in neutral, kickstand is up, clutch pulled in, and the only thing disconnected is the front turn signals, the battery sensor and the fuel gauge sender in the tank...I work nights and I'm at work now so I'll try maybe jumping the clutch switch tomorrow morning...also suspect the kill switch as it doesnt have a nice "click" to it and the bike's been out in the weather for a few years..
