aftermarket gauges

    i want to get rid of my maxims stock gauges

    i am looking at stuff like the sunpro mini tachometers

    i am wondering what i may be able to connect to the bike does anybody know what features the speedometer and tach need to be put on these bikes

    ratios?
    hook up type?

    I recently upgraded to gauges from mikesxs.com, wasn't too hard. The (if you have electronic) tach will have to be "wasted spark" since our bikes fire twice per 4 strokes. From what I've heard most of the speedos built for Japanese bikes around that time are the same ratio, should be easy to find one. Plenty of good help around here for this sort of thing.

    if your maxim has the cable driven tach like mine you can get any of the cable driven tachs from mikesxs and they will work. they also sell a machined aluminum block off cap if you want to do away with your tach and cable, like i did.
