Stablizing Arm on 83 750r seca

    Ive been working on my bike the past couple months and i went to take off what ive been told is a "stablizing arm" that attaches to my front fork and my frame. Is this part really necessary? can anyone explain its function and purpose to me or if the riding the bike feels different without it?

    Hi,
    Sounds like a steering damper to me. Aftermarket addon/improvement.

    I've seen them on some bikes but haven't actually ridden a bike with one on before. Normally looks like an oil/gas strut you see on back of a hatchback type of car.

    It should reduce wobble in the steering I would think... but thats IMO of course!

    i have one on my seca, it's is a steering stabilizer i think they came with the fairing package
    necessary, probably not, it's supposed to stop high speed wobble, when your riding, you can't tell any difference but it looks kind of cool

    Hey thanks, yeah it does look like a piece off a hatch back haha. yeah i took it off went for a ride i didnt notice any difference. Thanks again!
