hey guys, my gas cap seal has gone bad. I was wondering if anybody may havea new one sitting around. I need one, but i'm finding it difficult to pay $30 for it so if ya have one that would be great.

Len doesn't charge anywhere near that, last I checked. Ask him about HCP170.

shipped yes it costs that much.

no worries, I found a site for $15 shipped.

$30 is rough for a piece of rubber

That's because you don't just get the piece of rubber. If you DO, it's the wrong part.

The "expensive" part you found is the seal yes, but it's bonded to/manufactured as part of, the metal "cup" part of the cap. You replace the "cup" assembly to replace the seal.
