    hi guys! new here, i've owned an 82 xj650 for 3 years now and have just now started a bobber project, ive got most everything figured out so fa but my big problem is how to mount a seat. right now i have a stock frame until the rear shocks, how have you guys that have bobbed your bikes attached the new seat?

    I welded a bracket to the oval washer holding the tank on for the front mount and for the rear I bolted to a piece of flat barstock welded across the rails that is also the upper fender mount

    i cut a peice of steel to the shape of the frame on the top and then mounted my seat to that.
