So I swiped an engine and LOTS of parts from craigslist seller telling me he was gonna "rebuild and restore" the frame/engine off the frame/everything else off the frame. I knew he was lying since there weren't even carbs or a starter laying around. I've tested the engine and came up with no luck. its SEIZED :(

The other parts I don't really need are just taking up space in the barn. Let me know what you're looking for and I'll let you know if I got it. Here's a quick list of some the stuff I got.

rear tire well, rear fender/taillight, yamaha grab bar, front fender, air box leading to carbs, plastic battery box, chain box with chain, rear brake pedal, shaft drive boot cover, ignition cover, rubber tank mounts, chrome air box side covers, front forks, fork emblem, rear axle, front axle, handlebar, front rotor, rear drum brake with nice pads, ignition switch, centerstand, foot rests, starter solenoid, flasher relays/all other relays, front brake sensor, TCI regulator, side emblem grommets, front brake pads and cylinder, spare rubber valve cover gasket in decent shape

I snapped a picture this afternoon of just two things I grabbed to show you fellas the condition of this equipment. All in all, good parts so I'll definitely help you guys out. Low charge plus shipping, we'll call it even.

I interested in the front brake electric wire that leads from the front brake handle to the headlight bucket. The are a few small parts you could lose when pulling it out of its socket on the brake control.
    Flasher relays.

Sorry for no help Robert. The carbs weren't even with the bike so not much help and most of the big electronic equipment wasn't included.

BillB: PM sent, I've got the flasher cancelling unit and front brake switch

Flasher relay, cancelling unit, & front brake switch sold.

I'm not going for the gold guys; even had one member give me more $ than expected to cover shipping and handling in his words. Give me a shout if you'd like something you see on the original list!

I have the round headlight assembly but this is one of the rare items in bad shape. Want pictures to see for yourself then you can decide if you want it? I'm back on campus 90 mins away so I'll see if my little bro will snap a pic soon.

Do you have the left hand handle bar switches? My headlight switch knob broke off.

This is my first post as I just registered and got my bike last night from a cool guy. But the bike needs some small stuffs here and there. This is one of them. I may need other things. I haven't have time to inspect the bike yet.

    Thanks

still available: rear tire well, yamaha grab bar, front fender, air box, battery box, chain box with good chain, brake pedal, shaft drive boot, tank rubber mounts, chrome air box covers, forks, front/rear axle, handlebars, front brake, rear brake (pads are good condition), ignition switch, foot pegs and brackets, starter solenoid, left handlebar switch (headlight), oil side engine cover; and anything else I couldn't think of.
there are folks that want some items but if you aren't going to respond private messages they will go to whoever else wants the parts shipped at a reasonable price. i've been fair on pricing too, just ask the others who bought items like the rear chrome tailight, front fork emblem, ignition cover, and other misc items

I lost the keys to my 82 650 Seca, so I need everything involved, main key switch, seat lock, gas cap, keys, and how the hell do I get the ones on my bike off?! lol

PM me, shipping to 10309. I'll take the footpegs too if Robert didn't get them.

Long Shot! - how about the original tool kit?
    THANKS

i have a key switch but it doesn't do you much good without the keys heh? lol. also negative on the gas cap and original took kit. thanks for asking though

footpegs are in the mail Robert, and should arrive by thursday or friday the latest.

nycbrg: couldn't find the wear brake indicator. my younger who still lives at home searched but couldn't come up with it. when I travel home next week I'll take another look but IIRC it wasn't there

I will update this in about a week with remaining parts and their respective asking prices. still have plenty of parts like forks, engine head, front fender, levers, handlebar, brakes front & rear, chain, and many plastic parts (battery box, airbox, etc)

as promised, here are a lot of parts still waiting to be used appropriately. I am very reasonable on shipping (even sold something for $20 SHIPPED & and the shipping costs was $17... needless to say I miscalculated shipping) so most of these parts I only ask for an additional $5 or so for shipping if it can fit in a flat rate box. else it gets hard to ship big bulky stuff obviously I'll combine shipping

of course, I've updated my PHOTOBUCKET LINKfor the spare parts :) which looks great now!

front forks in excellent shape and seals hold oil without any problem = $40 for both

handlebar with a free hand grip separately :) = $10

front brake assembly caliper; dusty, rusty but should be usable after some tlc = $5

    front brake rotor = $5

rear brake hub with shoes in working shape and lever = $10

    shift lever = $2.50

rear brake pedal lever = $2.50

    shaft drive boot = $1.00

airbox intake cleaner box case = $10

battery plastic box housing = $2.50

chain and plastic housing box = $5

    differential = $1.00

    centerstand = $1.00

front brake line holder (i believe thats what it is lol) = $1.00

starter solenoid with connections and rubber protection sleeve = $5.00

regulator and the plastic housing panel to support everything on left side of bike = $7.50

ignition & connections (but no keys) = $5.00

front fender in great shape = $10

left handlebar lever with clutch cable and wire = $5.00

pair of airbox chrome covers = $7.50

clutch side cover with clean sight-glass = $7.50
    engine stator cover = $5.00
    BOTH = $10.00

653cc engine that is locked up... I can't get it to crank at all so I can part out any assembly parts like the head or valve cover or pistons if I get time to disassemble it... if I don't get any offers or nobody wants a part from it by the end of the summer I'm gonna just scrap it then

i have a wire loom of the start and the right side controls, you can have them just pay shipping. i will say this is that at the plug side i cut the wires to see which wires are needed to power the starter solenoid.

sorry you missed out Robert! besides the front fender, everything is still up for grabs.. don't know how to much lower the prices can go but I'd like to see these parts gone. make me an offer!

in addition to the parts I have the valve cover with two rubber valve cover gaskets that are acceptable in case yours ever got ruined. I can't use these since I have an '81 non-YICS bike. There are parts from the engine that I'm willing to disassemble if you want anything, just give me a shout! thanks!

The airbox is the same for all the '80-'83 650 Maxims (including the '81 Midnite Max) AND the '82 650RJ Seca (but not the turbo.) So yes, it will fit.

update: I've split the motor! it was quite a task and an accomplishment in my opinion but the tranny gears and shifter forks are sold. everything else is in great condition (clutch plates, oil pump, oil sensor, clutch cover, stator cover, valve cover so since I've got it torn apart, it'd be great to see these parts go to good use

also sold are the airbox & front fender. everything else is still available. your chance to get something cheap! ask other members, I've been very lenient

sorry guys, I just got home from a campout with the local scout troop. needless to say I'm soaked and muddy lol! couldn't have been any more fun though. yes I got some messages since I was away for the weekend and have sent responses.

I met with MiGhost earlier this morning and he purchased a few more items which are off the list now (battery box, both axles, tank mounts, grab bar, shift lever, starter solenoid. i still have a rear tire well, chain box with chain, brake pedal, shaft drive boot, chrome air box covers, forks, handlebars, front brake rotor, rear brakes/drum, regulator, front brake assembly, ignition, left clutch hand lever, and many other misc parts

i rather accept paypal or the money in hands like meeting with MiGhost. also, yamaman and esmithers; your parts will be in the shipping world tomorrow when business is as usual. thanks everyone!
