Hi, I was just woundering if it matters. Does it matter if I adjust the valve first and then sync the carbs ? or If I sync the carbs first and then adjust the valves. Thanks

Yes, the order is important. First, you need to adjust the valves and then sync the carbs.

First is to adjust valves. If they are wrong, nothing can be adjusted correctly. Syncing carbs must have correct vacuum and with valves not correct=vacuum not correct.

I don't mean to hijack because I think this question is appropriate... after adjusting valves, does it make sense to colortune before or after you sync the carbs? Or will it be a sync-colortune-sync-colortune (colortune-sync-colortune?) process until it's all good?

    Pretty much.

ColorTune is for fine-tuning idle mixtures. Sync should be done first; then re-checked afterward. Chances are (unless the mixture adjustments were way off to begin with) that the mixture tuning won't affect sync much if at all.
