A few had asked, so I did some better testing of fuel economy on the 750i over the last few weeks.

City, i.e. stop and go, lights and traffic, back and forth between home and work (about a 5.5 mile commute), I averaged about 39MPG.

On a 200 mile highway trip (actually Colorado state roads, not much real highway) between 6000 and 8000 feet elevation, some twisties, and about 50 to 70 MPH for the most part, I got 56MPG.

There's probably still a couple of MPG to be had from additional fine tuning of the map, and this isn't as good as the 71MPG my friend's Triumph Street Triple (675cc) was claiming on the trip (not sure how accurate the Triumph's trip computer is...), but I'm pretty happy with it.

I'm curious what kind of mileage (and at what elevations) others are seeing from their 750's.

    Cheers,
    Paul

    Highway?

    City?

    At sea level, or where?

Recently I calculated 46mpg for mine. I ride mostly highway (commute into town) and I live just under 3,000 feet above sea level. And I'll admit it, my bike isn't in the best condition. Maybe someday my wife will let me put some good work into it.

A few months ago I did a 1,000klm weekend ride and averaged only about 40mpg.

Was very hot (40-45 deg) mostly sitting on 110klm/h

I used to get about 37-40mpg around town (city/highway). I took a trip up to Traverse City once, mostly 55-60mph riding, got 52mpg.

Driving 100km to work and back, 8-10 stops, i'd say 80% highway (80km/h) 20% in city.

I'm just below 1000 feet elevation.
