Get a correct replacement switch. Don't use a sled switch. You may have the bike run, but you won't be able to use any of the other switch settings.

    The switches are not expensive.

A sled switch basically grounds out the ignition to shut the engine down. They are not suited to motorcycle applications. If the switch has two connectors, if you pull the plug, you can start the engine, but not shut it off.

OEM Replacement Ignition Switches are $34.95
    Bolt-on.
    Plug-in.
Lock Steering and Turn-on Park Light.
    Safe.

    SnoMobile Switch:
    None of the above.

Try Dennis Kirk or JC Whitney. They have switches for various applications and you'll find just what your looking for. They seem to be reasonably priced too.

does the 750 max have the battery fluid sensor (even if bypassed)?

My seca ignition makes three connections (6 wires in total)
a pair for connecting the ignition, a pair for signal lights and that marvelous candy cane colored pair of wires for the batt sensor (which would drain the battery if left connected, thus the disconnect while off)
