Create and/or log onto your photobucket.com account.

Upload pictures to your default or desired folder. Save and continue (this will get you to the folder and the image pasting links).

Without changing any default settings, select the file(s) you want to post using the little check box under the pictures when you MOUSEOVER them. (FYI: mouseover = hovering your mouse pointer over the picture or other items in a web browser window).

Go to the bottom of the page. Click the "Choose Action" drop down link. Select "Generate link codes for selected".

In the "IMG for bulletin boards & forums" section, select either "clickable thumbnails" or "full size". (It should auto-copy if you click in the area). LARGER pictures should be posted using the thumbnails.

Inside you forum post, paste (CTRL V for windows users) the code copied from photobucket. Use forum posting preview button to make sure it worked correctly before "submitting" the post.

FYI: Last time I tried Flickr I hated it and went right back to photobucket. SHRUG

Bob; Photobucket operates differently depending on your browser.

I'm still on IE6 on my desktop PC, and it doesn't work well AT ALL any more; it's gotten to where I have to fire up an XP laptop to upload pics.

My point being, it will behave differently for different people depending on their browser/OS.

I like to IMBED pics, it's the easiest and people don't always take advantage of the thumbnails.

    Thanks, honestly.

You should ride it. Matter of fact, I'm gonna do that right now. (It finally stopped raining.)

Anybody want to buy a half-finished ARK?

Three DAYS? I started thinking we needed to build a big boat was two weeks into the last three. It's rained for like three weeks straight here with I think ONE nice day in there somewhere., we're soggy.

I finally got to go for a ride this evening; it was great. The lilacs are in bloom.

Yeah we've had like 9 sunny days out of the last 42 days. Someone must have moved here from Seattle and brought the weather with them.

    Fitz,
Why did you feel the need to bust bob's balls on his little write ups helpfulness.

I truly wish more people of this site spent less time correcting people over minor b.s and more time being more helpful.

You could of just said "Hey Bob, you may want to let everyone know what version of IE your using because they don't all work the same."

So instead of telling him "That was a helpful writeup" , or possibly not making any comment at all (is that possible for you? I sometimes wonder if it annoys you when you can't see your name in at least one of the 10 scrolly posts at the bottom of the page.) you proceed to imply that his way aint worth a damn, and we should imbed our photo's. Well I dont wanna. "IMBEDing" pics is a PITA.

Then in something that has been coined "The Fitz Maneuver, or Pulling a Fitz" in the Salty Camel Garage, a term defined as "showing off you picture of your bike in a line of conversation that doesn't really warrants it, or showing off" You proceed to offer a picture of you bike as to say "See look, my bike is shiny and I hand polished it with no power tools so I'm right and you must take my opinion as gospel" Well guess what? I'm sick of seeing your bike, yes you did a good job, and it looks goods but shesh dude. Go ahead and "IMBED" your picture of your bike in you Signature and get it over with already.

I'm sure this post is going to get me in trouble so let me just say.

    Bob,
Thanks for the post, had I not known how to do it already, then I would of found that very helpful. I find it refreshing that given the chance you genuinely try to post helpful non opinionated ideas that are an interesting read.
    Thank you.

To all the Fitz-A-Bees followers out there,
I apologize in advance for criticizing your leader, I will "say three hail Fitz's" and hand polish my Fork as penance this weekend for my blasphemy.

oh shoot man! Now all the guys are gonna tease me about "Pulling a Fitz"

I wasn't busting anyone's balls. And people keep asking me to post pics of my bikes, so I do. (We all do, actually.) If I offended you, I wholeheartedly apologize.

Maybe I should have imbedded this pic instead as an example; it's NOT mine: (but it sure is cool, and it's mostly a Yamaha.)

I am running a MAC and was having trouble posting pictures. Following Bob's procedure, it worked fine. It took a few tries until I discovered that the link was placed in the comments section, not the attachment area. I did learn how to attach a picture by inadvertently attaching a picture of my Venture during the trial.

It is quite a multi-step process, but I figured it out.
