    Hi all!

My son just purchased an '82 XJ750 about a week ago. It was running fine until yesterday. Out of nowhere it started leaking gas while parked. I assume it's either the petcock and/or a float problem. Haven't had time to get into it just yet. After a quick look it looks like the previous owner had an issue around the petcock as it seems to have "JB Weld" or something similiar all around it.

So... looking for a tank that will fit, not sure if tanks from other XJ's would fit this one but would consider those as well. It does have the sending unit for the fuel gauge. Doesn't have to be fancy, just usable.

    Thanks!

Did you check the petcock o-ring, could just be bad. Or consider a cream? Might be quicker than a tank find in the short run.
