Is there any way I can shine these up a little?

Thanks for the offer. I usually do all my own painting but i bet you will have people pm you to paint their stuff. You were kidding about making it shine more right thats why i said it looks like you have stains in your ceiling you can see something in the reflection next to the lights

Stop in to a GENUINE AutoBody Supply Outlet.
Look around for a minute and marvel at what they stock.
Get the counterman to help you.

Get a Small Bottle of 3M Finishing Compound or the Professional Buffing Compound 3M makes for Clears and Paint Buffing.

    Buff the Tank and Covers.

If you are going to use a Portable Drill get a Medium or a Not Sewn Buffing Pad.
(There are New Products with Foam Buffers to considered)
Set the Drill to a MEDIUM SPEED
TAPE the Drill to give you a SOFTENED protection against BUMPING.
    Rotating Parts.
    END OF BUFFER, ... too!

Don't plug-in the Drill until you have secured the Tank.
Until you have eliminated any chance of an accident.

    Clean the tank.
    I use Windex.

    Get your Buffing Mo-Jo woikin'!
    Extension cords.
    Lights.
    Plenty of room.

I squeeze-out a bunch into a Yogurt Cup. I broke the "World's Greatest Dad' doing this.
    A soft Toothbrush.
If you don't have a toothbrush, ... WTF?

Use a Toothbrush Load for every area you are going to work.

    Buff.
    Medium Speed.
    Work an AREA
Stay within the area until do another area.

    Very Light pressure.
DON'T let the Buffer Stop Moving.
    Don't Buff through the Paint.

Dress the Buffing Wheel when it becomes "Matted"
A Nail or a Drywall Screw will do.
But I know guys who keep a Putty Knife in their hip pocket.

You suggest the same for 3 coats of clear? If I do it, it'll be about a month from now.
