    Gives me more ideas of what I need to do on mine!

    Did you increase the diameter of the existing backbone, delete the upper "triangle gusset" and connected the backbone downtube to the frame???

    the gusset was modified a bit and the original backbone was used as a slug for the new one

    You have done exactly how I have planned on hardtailing my 550. It is nice to be able to see how it will look before I started cutting. That bike is looking great. Now I can't wait to start cutting.

    Did you use a universal hardtail kit or did you bend the tube yourself?
