    Hey all,

Been a productive May 2-4! I just got back from getting the manifolds off the bike, used some PB Blaster, an alan wrench and small hammer for 'simulated impact wrench' effect. they were corroded in there pretty good but very luckily all came out without issue. I'm stoked as my package from Len is en route with new manifold bolts and gaskets, pilot fuel jets and enrichment o-rings :). Bigger versions of the pics are under my album in my sig, btw...

Do you guys think these gaskets and head look leaky?

    Thumbs up, all loose!

There wasn't much left to any of the gaskets from what I could see... how should i prep the surfaces for the new gaskets, and does any one remember the torque settings for those bolts? Thanks again fellas for helping be such a confidence boost! I don't know if a mechanic was what i should have been, but it's sure a lot of fun!

Are there residues of a traditional gasket and O - rings on all 4?
    Looks a bit strange.

    Hey Pirok!

There was some gasket residue, no O-Ring was installed by design on the 650 Maxims. Did pull a few little pieces off, not much left though. looks like 7.5 ft/lbs for the torque specs :).
