I am trying to clear up my windshield. I dont want to totally screw it up. I'd consider replacing it but it seems that I cant find a replacement. If anyone knows where I could get a replacement chime in too please!
    It is a Yamaha fairing.

You can buy a polishing kit from Aircraft Spruce and Specialty. It is a common problem with aircraft windscreens. You need to use a special gauze cloth with various grades and a polishing cream that get progressively finer. Use the correct products and follow the directions and you'll be amazed at how they come up. Or take it to the local airfield, someone there will have the right gear for it.

Many auto glass places will carry plastic polish.

The best stuff I have used is "Novus"...three different grades
    Novus 1 is simple cleaner/polish
#2 is light scratch and haze removal. It has very fine abrasives that will take the scratches out (kind of like rubbing compound)
    #3 is for heavy scratches.

Normally, #2 is all you need and follow up with #1 to give is a spiffy clean....hmmm that didn't come out quite right

It's not cheap, but one small bottle of each will probably last you a lifetime.

It works great on your helmet face shield too.

A headlight lens restore kit will also work, but you want to get a good one.

    Maguiar's, Mother's, Black Magic...they'll all run you about $20-$30

Like they said, it's basically the same thing as polishing metal, just different type of "sandpaper"
