Brake shim material - Where to get?

I made the following post hoping to find a used brake shim that would fit my bike but no ceegar...

I need a shim that fits between the upper & lower caliper sections. I also need one that fits a left sided caliper between the pad and the piston.

Both are stainless One between the caliper halves is .005" thick and the one for the pad is .015"

Where might I find a small amount of stainless sheet that I can dremel out & make fit?

(Think I'm also missing the pad shim on my XJ650 as it squeals like a pig when I use the front brake).

McMaster Carr is your friend. mcmaster.com and look up stainless steel sheets. They sell by the foot and in some cases, by the inch. Good luck!

 

If you're willing to modify, you could kick around an auto junk yard in the dirt - for free, lots of debris, including stainless shims.
