Used some from a 03 R1 but had to weld on some tabs on the bike

Those are nicely made rear set. Worth every penny of $300.

Have you used these? I noticed the product says "European models only". Is there a difference? Do the fit US models??

Good question. Neither of the members that started this hread are on anymore.
The U.S. got two models of XJ650; the Maxim (cruiser) and the Seca (sport standard). The rest of the world only got one XJ650, the Seca (though without the name).

Looks like some nice equipment there.

Too bad I don't see XJ650 equipment. Only see XS and universal.

Think I should roll the dice and go for the "euro equipment"? What could the difference really be??

The frames are quite different, though they look simmilar. You should be able to use the Euro rearsets with some modifications. But if you have to modify, it might just be as easy to make yourself a set that fit.

Raask, from Sweden, also make rearsets for the Seca 650 (I had them on my first one).

Those are the ones I bought but was not able to fit on my bike, and didnt want to weld. I bought them for my 81, but I guess the European model was the issue. Look exactly the same.
Still in box and everything. I know it's not the selling section but I can give them up for cheap, compared to the original 300, which I paid a while back.

Or if anyone needs pics, I can take them with dimensions etc. Just let me know.

If I get a chance in the next couple of days, I will take a pic of a 650 Maxim rear peg mount along side of a 650rj mount. That will clarify things.
