    If i did not have so much on my plate right now i would probably snatch it up. Still have the carbs to do on the maxin x. I almost have the honda done but i have to start the cleaning on the rd. plus i still have to swap motors on my gt750. I need my garage done before any more bikes

    This is a very fast, 4 cylinder, 6 speed street version of Yamaha's road racing bike of the era. Really?

    Back then it was pretty fast for a 550 there was only the gpz i think honda might have had the 500 intercepter. Big difference between them and the now a days 600s but motors have came a long ways since then. Back in those days the 550 was the smallest inline 4 earlier honda 550-4 but were no competition and they did not make them anymore you went from 400s-450s twins to 550-4 cyls you still had the 650 honda sohc but that was not much competition and the gs 550 . the only 2 sport orientated bikes were the seca and the gpz
