Gotta go with Bill on this one; I wouldn't let it go for under $1500; and I'd be asking like $1800 to start.

Depends where you are and what the market will support. Two years ago I bought an almost immaculate 1982 XJ650RJC, similiar to yours but red and YICS equipped for 250.00$. I sold it last year for 650.00, i sold a 82 Seca 750 last year for 750.00. We think they worth a small fortune, but that is because we like them. They are, after all 30 year old japanese mass production line bikes.

Yeah, put it up for 1800 and be happy if you get 1200. That seems to be the range from what I see, during riding season at least. About 3/4 to half that when the season is ending or over. 2 cents....

I disagree somewhat. If the bike is in VERY good original condition, especially the paint, exhaust etc I wouldnt take less than 2000. Of course I mean VERY good condition. These things are getting rarer than hens teeth, and bring a good buck if you advertise nation wide. Heck, could probably part out a good one for 1500 bucks! Good luck!

You never mentioned the mileage and detailed history, which is very important, but a mint low miles example is worth at least $1500. Nice original examples are becoming extremely hard to find, and are very sought after. I have a mint `83 fully faired 750 Seca with super low miles and reckon its worth at least $ 2000. Would not sell it for a penny less. Run a well detailed description with good pics on E bay, and set a modest reserve ( $1200 ) to get the bids going, and you shoud easily get $1500 this time of year.
