the tach runs off the 10a "signal" fuse. Do as Fitz says and 10 to 1 says you end there too.

Check battery. Slow cranking? Could be on its way out.

If so, could also be the generator getting weak.

The Battery is good for sure because i gave it a full charge and fluid level is high. When I was taking the battery in and out I thought I disconnected a connection for something because there was a open plug socket so i looked for the other side of the plug and thought I found it under the engine connected it a tri-pod looking plug, and now the bike is getting no juice nothing at turn of the key. Back to the drawing board in the morning. Thanks for any help or suggestions

You need to have a "Test Light Festival"

Sometimes they're over before you get to finish the first beer.

Other times, they go-on for hours, because of things you have to deal with being especially foo-bar. (F.U.B.A.R.)

Having a Test Light that's fun to use takes some of the tediousness out of the job.

Step 1: UNPLUG whatever it was you plugged in that made things worse.

Step 2: LOOK IN THE FUSEBOX.

Step 3: Get a manual and figure it out; just plugging stuff in because you think "it goes there" is a way to spend a whole lot more money unnecessarily. Just poking about and guessing will cause problems not solve them.

Which DOES NOT mean the battery is fine; it means it has water and you charged it, and that's all. Take the fully charged battery to an auto parts store and have it load tested; then you'll know "for sure."

Your right I understand that and I do have a repair manual. The owners which is probably several has chopped up this bike pretty bad only has two original fuse slot the rest are bypassed and nothing looks original just rigged up. So I think a complete overhaul of the bike is due which would be a great learning experience..
