what would you do to this bike...

ok so i think a truck horns going above the yamaha badge, and the speedos getting a coupkle tags on its mount so i can bolt it between the lights... ive been told to leave it alone but im afraid i cant.... how would you modify the front end of this bike?

 

I love the three headlights. And I would prob stick the horn on the frame right behind the forks. as for other mods, I might do something like this: http://xjbikes.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=1519.html

 

Personally i would do whatever to the bike , i'd be more worried about who told you to leave it alone?

Thanx! I like your color matched wheels and engine. You can take off the rear fender, taillight and grab bar. then mount a tailight under the back of the seat so its hidden from the side. That was how I had it setup before I made the new seat.

 

I'd clean-off the aluminum surrounds on those side covers -- polish the aluminum to mirror finish and clear-coat them. I'd un-paint all the engine and case covers and pretty much do the same for them. Pin-stripe the edges of the fenders and get some 'chrome' door-edge strips and add some bling to the bottom edge of the tank. Then, I'd hide a few purple led's here and there ... just for some additional detail-pimping. Then, I'd ride it all summer until it needed new tires!

 

:lol: hoonz... im guessing that youre speaking of the saturn in the background? well after i got it running correctly....my priorities went elsewhere :lol: bikes more iomportant in the summer.... in the winter when that hole fills up with road sluch and ice...then ill change it ...
definitely wanna take the paint off that engine...winter project... like the suggestions viper we'll see when i can get anything done!

I adopted a guys cast-off Midnight Max. The only thing he didn't rattle-can black was the headlight glass. I started de-blacking that baby one night, 2 winters ago, and just kept right on going until I had the whole bike back to aluminum and chrome. (The powger coat on the exhaust silencers needed some persuasion ... heavy buffing with diamond buffing compound ... but, I evvenatually got to the hidden beauty beneath the black. Now, she a glimmering custom. I got everything that was aluminum polished-up nice and the nikes all painted-out pretty. I'm just waiting for the tank to really harden-up with the clear-coat so I can buff-out the tank and take it to the hamburger stand. Who knows ... I might bet in the "full-pimp" mode and add some hidden LED's, here annd there, to give her a nice after-dark glow. Trouble with the LED's, though, they're like Christmas lights. Once you start you get like Chevy Chase, putting them everywhare but inside the gas tank!

Thanks guys! Now, should I leave it license plate aluminum... Or cut it out of steel and chrome it? Ultimately the bike will be matte black/gloss black frame and wheels.
