Found the site off of YouTube, just got an 82 seca 550. My first bike, it needs. Little bit of work. Ran well enough for me to take it around the block a couple times. I got the carbs torn apart right now,

Body looks great, ide post pics but I have to find somewhere to upload them first.

    Anyway, hello all.

Welcome. Photobucket works fine for me. Good luck with your bike. You can learn pretty much everything you need to know right here.

If you just want to put a couple of pics in your post, just re-size them to fit the upload limits using MS Paint or Fireworks. I use 500x375 pixels which is the same aspect as the HQ mode on my digital camera. Oh and welcome aboard, please put your bike model and year in your signature line and location in your profile. Enjoy !

[IMG] paid 800 for it. Came with an extra rear rim with a new tire on it, a new unmounted rear tire, a bunch of spare parts, small plastic peices, oversized sprocket, drums, etc.. it has 37000 miles on it, but 800 still didn't seem bad. Especially for my first bike.

Welcome and ride safe. Check rear brake for friction material delamination. Check date codes on brake hoses. Yamaha say to replace them every 4 years. Rebuild master cylinder and callipers. Yamaha say every 2 years. Check date codes on the tires. Do all these before you ride again.

Thank you, I need to find a list of all the scheduled maintenance & intervals. I'm sure a service manual would have this.

I've got plans to change and maybe flush the oil, new plugs & wires (managed to shock myself a couple times.) Definitely need to look into how old the brake components are.

While were on the subject, what is delamination and how do I check for this?
