So Ive had this old bike sitting around for awhile and I got tired of watching it sit in my bedroom. Figured it was time to do something =)

From the looks of your garage you look like you're a wrencher, but was the engine running decent before the project started? The reason I ask is, we've had a couple of guys go tearing into a bike (literally had the engine tore down) then have trouble getting it to run after buying a bunch of stuff for the bike.
Looking forward to the build on this one, ditto what macros said.
    Good luck.

yeah it actually runs great. I rode it once before I tore it apart and that was the test drive. Ive had the bike for a year and it always fires right up. I tore the carbs down and they are clean as a whistle =) I have since cleaned them myself and taken them down to the locoal carb guru to clean them again and install a dynojet stage 3 kit. So after me f***ing with them Im sure Im going to have some troubles.

The shop actually belongs to 3 of my friends who are all heavy duty mechanics. They all have race trucks and drag cars. They were more than happy to have me and my bike inside =) My one buddy is purchasing a bike hoist just to work on my bike :p

Sounds like you're gonna get it made and in the shade!
Sometimes though a one hour job you can do on your own turns into a whole afternoon with some buddies and a case of "Wobbly" pops!

...maybe way too big for that one, but that front wheel in the picture looks like something off a monster bike, so you'll have that one to ride around on too! 8O

tonight we are going to mount the tank and get lights mounted on the fender. then its coming apart to get the welds finished up then off to painting.

Still waiting on gauges. Gotta put an order in to chacal for some break parts and cables.

I just want one ride in this year
