    Hi there,
I got a Maxim 750 1982...I have been restoring it as the previous Owner did not take very good care of it...I have been painting it the frame..yada yada...I am in the middle of putting it back together...I got it put together went to start it..it started now..every thing was working fine..then when I went to turn the signals on they came on but did not flash, so I saw a few wires that were crossed in the signals I straightened them out...Now I am getting nothing at all but a headlight...it wont start and I have no signal lights, brake lights... but all the fuses are good...Anybody have any ideas please...=( I was on here before and you guys are allways awesome!! Any help is greatly appreciated!!
    Thanks again

Do you still have an original fuse box? If so, you should probably replace it.

Since you're painting the frame, have you painted any grounds? Make sure that any wires that connect to the frame for ground still have a good ground. I think the turn signals fall into this category (using frame ground near where they mount).

I had a problem with my wires a while back on my 82 xj 650 and it was a grounding issue. I also switched out the old glass fuse block with a blade type. I haven't had a problem since. It is a great inexpensive upgrade that you will be glad you have done.
