Gas Tank

    so i had a look around and found some things none answered my question

    i need more gas with me

    is there a tank that will swap over with zero mod needed that holds more fuel then the stock one on my 1982 xj400 maxim

    We have an oddball frame compared to the rest of the family.....
    If you could pick up a second tank, clean it up really good and know a good competent welder.... you coupld probably have a larger tank fabbed up....

    I take about a gallon in my backpack when I know I'm gonna be in the hills. Probably not what you're looking for but it works. And no fab

    I put a xj750 tank on a xj550 by moving the rear tank mount 5/8" back. I cut and rewelded the mount now both the orginal and new tank fit.
