different drive shaft

    thanks guys. i gotta say it was way harder gettin it to here then i thought. tryin to figure out where to start and how to keep everythin square and lined up was a bear. i need to get some more tubing and am goin to chicago for a week so itll be slow for a week or so. still gotta make an axle too.

    Any way you can turn that spacer a bit more??
    Get an inch off the diameter? Taper the middle? Hollow it out??

    You know the driveshaft spins 4.13 X faster than the tire.

    not too much really. it is hollow and only a small amount bigger diameter than the shaft mounts. i could scallop out some down the sides but we couldnt figure out how to keep it balanced.

    How 'bout a new coupler at the other end?
    The hard part would be the splines.

    I have read a xv920 the rims and tires are a direct fit on the 82 maxim,,,, so maybe that would mean the driveshaft would be too.... it looks a little longer,,, anyone know??
