Re-installing headers

    The previous owner of the bike took the header off the bike. I can't figure out how to install them again. Specifically, I cant get the header head to connect to the ports because the frame of the bike is in the way. How is this done?

    Stock exhaust, or ??? If it's the stock exhaust, I assume the head pipes are still connected to the collector box?

    NO, that's a Yoshimura 4-1. Can't tell from the picture; is it possible to loosen the pipes where they meet, or is it one welded piece?

    Are the collars welded to the pipes also?

    Are you POSITIVE that pipe even fits your bike? I've never seen a Yoshi for the Seca 550s; Kerker, yes, MAC, yes.

    Measure the spacing on your exhaust ports and then measure the pipe spacing.

    Fitz,
    Believe it or not. I figured out a way to "spread" the pipes apart so that actually fit in the ports! All i did was pull the pipes from each other and gently pushed them through the bike's frame. The pipe spacing turns out to be same after this was done.
