Hi, I just thought I would pop in and say hi.

I have owed my 1981 Yamaha XJ750 Seca for almost 5 years now. I bought it from a guy that had stored it for about 10 years after the original owner crashed it into the back of a hay wagon. When I bought it I was planning on parting it out but after I striped it down I just couldn't bring myself to part a nice clean bike that had just over 9,000 miles even though it was 20 years old. So back together it went and after a winter of searching I got all the front end and body parts to fix it. So far it has treated me well and I have just over 14,000 miles on it.

With it covered for the winter (yeah this is its first winter outdoors :( ) I am making a list of thinks to replace this spring to get it ready for a cross country trip I have been planning so I am sure you will hear from me from time to time. Anyways, thanks for listening to me ramble... Have a good one.

Oh yeah here is my bike some of you might recognize it as I was a member of the other board.

    Hey thefox!
    Nice ride!
I have an 81 Black Seca 750 just like that! (Looking for a dash bezel).
Do ya happen to know where I can get just the top part of the dash bezel?
I broke mine trying to get it apart. My gages are fine I just need the top bezel with the glass in it!
I wanted to paint the metal behind the glass because it was showing some surface rust and I shattered the glass trying to get it apart. There is no fix to mine at all. Im trying to find one in decent shape with no rust under the glass. I would appreciate any help you could be! Thanks!
Hey take good care of your ride! It looks awsome!

    Thanks for the complements.

    Lawnie -
You might be able to have a glass place cut you a new piece of glass. When I got my bike the glass was cracked and that is what I was going to check out but I picked up a parts bike that I was able to steal the bezel from. Oh and I just replied to your pm

    Beanflicker-
The windshield is a Maier; spitfire makes the same one too. It came with clamps that attach to the handlebars. I just wanted something to get the air off my chest.
