You're better off "looking" for electricity with a meter, or maybe a test light, than by eye.

Do you have voltage on both sides of the fuse? Do you have voltage on at least one side of the fuse?

If you don't have a meter, get one.

what am i looking for with the meter as far as a reading? will one dead bulb effect the rest? the book i have does not give the diagram for the 750 just says similair to the 650.THere are two relays, I am assuming it is the one next to the time out switch for the signal. under the tank closest to the fuses. The other one is a little higher up on the frame.

One dead bulb will make the other one on that side light but not flash. It will have no effect on the other side.

The two relays: one is the flasher, which is special and different from stock automotive ones; the other is the auto-cancel unit, which has a timer and also receives pulses from the speedometer to shut off the turn signals after a certain amount of time+distance.

You are looking for 12V, relative to battery -, on both sides of the Signals fuse, with ignition on and the turn signal switched pushed to one side or the other.
