The title says it all, I'm taking a long shot here--

I need a GOOD stator for a 1978 Goldwing GL1000, and I need a tank, pretty much any condition as long as it's not swiss cheese, for a 1982 xs400 seca.

    Thanks,

    dave fox

I think you may do better trying to find goldwing parts on a goldwing forum. With the obvious out of the way, I recommend, as a fellow gl1000 owner (76), NGW or naked gold wing. Become a member to see the barter section and then use this link to view parts http://ngwclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php? ... 78#p360826. Stator plus wiring harness is $80 without shipping from CA but could be less without the harness. I think the gl1000 parts are compatible for most of the 70's though so you could find a better deal. hope thins points you in the right direction.

Yeah, I already been there, saw that, etc..... but as an xj owner ( and a few others) I figured I'd ask here just in case someone else had similar interests.

I'm not asking here out of ignorance. Don't worry, I didn't take your post to mean that, either.

    Thanks for the suggestions, though.

    Dave
