It's been downgraded to Category 1. Hell, I thought it was supposed to have eaten Florida by now.

    ...but according to the media...

In MD, I hear they're getting torrential downpours, but nothing they haven't seen before. I sure do hope it stay that way.

Baltimore here. Just some rain so far. A bit of wind but nothing major. Last fridays thunderstorm was worse thus far.

Getting a lot of rain and crazy wind and gusts. Was watching my buddies on a small sailboat tacking in the river....pretty hilarious when you've been drinking Hurricane 40's all night and day.

Local ABC Station broke in to the Cup race to tell us Ocean City,MD is flooding. It's +/- sea level. It would be a bigger story if it didn't flood.

So we have been out of power for a few hours and tornadoes are expected and so far there are 82,000 of us w/o power. Time to play every board game in the house. Winds are around 50mph and we have shit slamming into the side of the house. :)

Just a rainy/cloudy day here in central NC. Saw a few limbs off trees on my way to the store a lunch, nothing big.

273,000 without power now in NJ. I miss my A.C. or at least a fan. Oh well, I'm sure there are much worse things people are dealing with. Hope everyone is safe on the east coast.

I really feel for you guys, after Ivan we went 41 days without power. and when a store did get some gas There was a 25 gallon limit and it took any where from 2 to 4 hours in line to get it. I once waited for over 2 hours and they ran out again before I was anywhere close to my turn. Hang a couple of heavy blankets over your fridge, it'll help for a little while. Also we dug a hole built a fire in it and set a grate out of the oven over it for hot baths (hillbilly water heater) cant tell you a thing about making MRE's edible though.

I am here in upstate NY. Some pretty good wind and quite a bit of rain. Worst part for me is I was taking the last day of my basic rider's safety course today. After one girl got blown over, they cancelled for the day. Got to wait a few more days....

Haven't been down to check on the bike yet. It's in a garage closer to the water here. Should have been ok.

House is fine. Lost some vegetable plants in the garden. We never even lost power here.

I didn't think they were all that bad, really, although this was close to 30 years ago in boot camp. Funny thing was: someone in the platoon got one with the hot dogs in it. He then set about grabbing the paper trash from others in his squad, built a fire, and cooked the hot dogs. This did not escape the Drill Instructors' notice.

Care to hazard a guess as to what MOS he was assigned upon graduation? Go ahead. Guess. :)

Glad everyone made it thru ok. Just wish some of the rain would have made it here in GA been in the 90s everyday since may my weather station says we have had a little over 2 inches of rain since May. Don't need to cut the grass anymore heck trees are even turning brown and dying.
