    will a tank from a seca fit on a maxim? a 550 to be exact

    I've been told by others YES. I've not had the chance to test this yet because I'm still trying to get my hands on one!

    Depends on which Maxim and Which Seca, I think. I know 650s and 750s interchange, but don't think 550s will with them, just other 550s.

    Sorta. The frames are pretty similar toward the front; the Maxim's frame dips down more toward the rear. The tank will go on, but won't really match the lines of the frame.

    That does help. I'm sure in my case I'll have to do some mods etc now. D'oh! I was hoping for a direct fit. Oh well that's half the fun I guess
