    As ad says, wiring is a mess, carbs or spark are both intermittent, runs perfect, then real rich, then a cylinder misses, day to day. Front brakes, a caliper works then not, tach makes a racket, charging system works then not. Petcock, etc.

    I love the bike, but my job is way too demanding for a project bike (big family too), and I have neither the time, talent or inclination to turn wrenches on the bike. I want to ride in the little bit of spare time that I have, and this bike is close to right, but still needs some things. So I ride it to work and around town, but nothing more.

    Thank you all for the excellent support group and knowledge-sharing. This is the best motorcycle-specific site I have ever been on. I now move on to a Suzuki VS1400 Intruder. While I LOVE the bike, the websites aren't anywhere as good as yours!
