hey, what's that bike in the rear shot of your ride? it think it says "Italika" on the case.
anyways....looks like you're enjoying the bike but you should buy some new tires, you don't want to damage that nice looking accessory on the back of your bike!

Well it looks like you are really enjoying your bike, as you should because its looking good now too. A couple of more questions than critiques though, first I have a 650 so im not sure what the chrome piece on the left side cover is so I was curious as to its purpose. Secondly it looks like you are missing a sissy bar/ grab bar, even in the original pictures so I was wondering if you were going to replace that. If not you could fill the holes to make the body more streamline. Its looking good though. Best of luck!

well the tail section is from a suzuki GS550ES. and the chrome part on the side is a cover is for the ignition key, so when i am whit a passenger ,the passenger dont hit the key whit the leg. the sissy bar/ grab bar i am looking for and i don´t have lucky enough. the next step is the tire i´m on the merket for it. thanks for your post´s.

    nice lookin ride!
How do the pod air filters work?
Also noticed you have a 4 into 1 exhaust did they modify the carbs when they put the exhaust system on it?

jorge - you will get a lot of responses to this but I will be the first to tell you -NO pods! Unless you are racing or you are the kind of person that enjoys constantly tweaking your bike - you will be in for a never ending battle with trying to get your bike to run correctly with pods.

The idea of pods is to give you the greatest performance at one throttle setting - wide open. Getting carbs with pods to operate correctly throughout a wide range of operating conditions will require a great deal of time. If you want to be successful - you will definitely be tweaking more than riding.

On my two cylinder Triumph I spent an entire riding season tweaking and was not able to get them really dialed in until I finally went to a guru with a dyno.

Your best bet is going to be to keep your eye open for a set of carbs and an air box off of ebay and start over again.

I agree, NO PODS! Sorry but it IS more trouble than you probably want.
As for the carbs, how good of a mechanic are you?......No Really!!??

If you are good and have a good translator to help you, there are many threads on this site that can help you out.
Chacal is a great source for reasonably priced parts.

You will need some specialized tools like a sync stick, a color tune, and a YICS tool, you will also need a small remote fuel tank for when you are syncing and dialing the carbs in.

Be warned!!! many who thought they were good mechanics found this job to be big!
If you still want to go on, be sure to take MANY pictures with your digital camera to remind you how it came apart.
Be sure NOT to mix the components from one carb to another!!!

Take notes and pictures as to which jet came out of which position and how the linkage was before you took it apart.

Judging from the sounds of your idle not working, you must have some issues already. That could be a plugged passage in a carb or maybe all 4.
Be sure to install a small inline fuel filter when you are done or you will find yourself doing this again real soon!

    Good Luck!!

all the extra room in the back of the seat.... that would be a cool place to mock up the sheet metal for the tail light too... inverted right into it
