    After looking at it again, it looks to me that the exhaust would drag the ground on just about every tight right turn.

    I noticed that as well. It's just amazing that someone can butcher a bike so bad. That person definitely got way over their head on that project!

    I dont know, its not THAT bad. The rear fender is whats ruining the look mostly. It needs to be way shorter. It kind of reminds me of a dog running with its tucked between its legs.

    I've actually been scowering craigslist for the first time in a while, and all ive found is an 83 750 maxim for 1500, and an 83 1100 maxim for 2500.. seems a little steep

    I wonder how long it's been run without any air filter.

    A compression test for sure.

    If it's got a good mill and you're looking for a project to cut up it's not terrible priced.
