help with back break

    So i did not pay enough attention when i took the back break assembly apart ive been trying to figure out how the break assembly gose back together meaning the foot lever to the unit that conects to the back break im stumped any help and photos please

    You mean at the actual drum or where the pedal pivot goes through the frame?

    And what bike?

    Leave the lower strut unbolted so you can rotate the drum back slightly, push down on the pedal and that should give you room to get the threaded rod (spring towards the front of the bike) back into the pivot in the brake lever arm. Then the adjuster nut goes on, and finally you can bolt the strut down. Adjust the pedal stop and rear freeplay adjustment to your liking.

    Or just remove the arm from the brake plate, attach to the the arm to the rod, and reinstall.

    where the pedal pivot gose threw the frame on a 85 xj 700 sorry
