1983 Midnight Maxim for sale. She runs great, needs front tire, and the turn signals don't work. I'm not an eletrician, and never use them so it is what it is. It has custom forward controls, custom ostrich leather seat with high density foam, and she runs like a dream. Don't really want to sell, but with the XS1100 and the 71 mail jeep....something has to go. Asking $1000.00 located in the Savannah/Hinesville, Ga area I will try and get pics up this weekend, or I can email them to you!

unfortunately for you I will never part her out. She is still strong as all get out and runs like a dream. Been to Iowa and back fromOklahoma 3 times and from Savannah to Daytona countless trips. If I can't sell her I'll gladly keep her!

If you weren't in Georgia I'd buy her and step up to a 750... But convincing the wife to drive to Georgia to get a motorcycle not to mention the 8+ hour ride home to Va... Can't blame a guy for tryin' though!

She currently has 27,083 miles on her maybe a few more as I do run her around the neighborhood twice a week to keep her running good.

@motoMatRow Let me know when you can get down here.......still $1000 firm for her. If I don't sell her by October I'm gonna get the tire and turn signals working and sell her for $1800 on post here. knocking off $800 for just that is more than enough to fix it on your own. Just let me know and I'll work out a date to meet you if you still want her.

Unless I am extremely misinformed. Somebody went through a great deal of time, effort, and money to De-Midnight that Maxim.

Midnight Maxim's strickly came in black with gold accent. No chrome, No clear aluminum

    Double check your VIN#
    JYA???

Yeah she's a Midnight. I am the 3rd (technically 2nd) owner of the bike. Previous owners dad bought it new to go back and forth to work (5mi one way) and gave it to his son when he left for college. Kid had it painted prowler purple and kept it clean. I added the forward controls and re-did the seat to ostrich leather with high density foam cut down a bit. She's got some serious get up and go....almost more than my XS1100 so it seams. Lol

This was my first Yamaha, so I had no idea about maxims, XJ's, XS's but looking at the 82 and 83 magazine adds of these bikes brand new...the only change is the painted tank with emblem removed and the side covers painted like the tank with no side covers....and the forward controls with recovered seat that I did. So it is all Midnight Maxim. I do know that the "Midnight Seca" is all black and gold trim, so maybe this is what you are thinking of.

You got me all wrong man! Not here to prove anything, just saw the same article with the same bike, but with the rectangle headlight and it said seca. No worries, so I have a 83 midnight Maxim custom for sale! Thanks for the correction. :D

Hey bro, I maay just fly down there and ride it back up to nc. 1000 sounds good if she runs spiffy, foward controls alone cost over 230 plus the time forr installation
