Have a 06 katana 600. the headlights worked fine one day and the next, they would not turn on with the key but all other lights work just fine to include all running lites, turn and dash .

Anyone have a simular problem and know how to fix this...

First of all, this thread would look smashing in the "Other Motorcycles" section. FYI.

Have you tried investigating the wiring at all? Does the headlight come on when you start the bike? Gonna need a bit more info.

I was not aware there was an "other bikes " section but anyway.......No the headlight does not come on when the key is turned on or the bike is started ...that is the problem.

have checked all wiring and I do not get power to the fuses. Have tried to trace back to the power supply but it is like putting your hand in a bowl of noodles... wires going everywhere and changing color and boy is this fun.
I evenually used a relay and powered it off a running light and hooked the headlights to the battery thru the relay which has allowed the bike to be used to get to work.

I just got my hands on an elec diagram of the bike, so am hoping that I can use it to figure out what failed.
