I recently traded my 1992 XJ600 Seca 2 for an 82 750 Seca. I love this bike, it's exactly what I've been looking for. However, the stock handlebars are killing my back, even after shorter periods on the road. I need the bars to pullback another 2 or 3 inches, does anyone have any suggestions on what kind of bars to get that retain the same style? Measurements on the current handlebars are 30" wide, 10" center (can get away with 6" not sure why the bars are so wide in the center) 7" rise, 10" pullback. Flanders makes a Goldwing style bar that looks like it might work, but I'd rather not spend $120 if I can get it for cheaper (and since it's not certain). Also, would it be possible to reroute the existing cables or would I have to get new ones? I've read that the XJ550 has cables that are about 2 and 1/2 inches longer that the 750.
Anyways, I know this is long, but would rather get all the info up there in one go. Thanks!

Once you get through all the plastic coverings you will find that that handle bar is a normal 7/8" round bar.

Maybe something like this Bikers Choice touring bar with 12" pullback, or the PERTRONIX pullback bar with 13" pullback.

Thanks Ghost! I went with the Pertronix bars, after measuring the bike looks like that's going to give me the best riding position with the least amount of cable woes.

Will do. Should have the bars on over the weekend. Anyone know how much slack you can get with a cable/wire reroute? Looks like I need about 1 and 1/2 inch more on each side, looks ok but I'd rather not run into a frustrating surprise.

Got the bars on, looking great, just need a slightly longer front brake cable....no reroute possible, it's just too short. Otherwise, it looks freaking sweet.
